American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic Invest in Electric Aircrafts
The two airlines are the latest to make strides toward the future of air travel by committing to the purchase of low-emission electric takeoff and landing aircrafts.

New TSA Record Since March 2020
Last Friday, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screened 2.02 million passengers in the U.S.. This marks the first time that more than 2 million passengers passed through U.S. airports since March 7, 2020.


FlyReady with Delta
This summer, Delta and Virgin Atlantic customers traveling between the U.S. and U.K. will be among the first to utilize Delta FlyReady to navigate entry requirements during international travel. The digital health credential solution will assist customers in scheduling a COVID-19 test that meets their destination requirements and will also automatically verify their test results. Vaccination credentials will also be integrated into the platform later this summer. The airline will automatically link FlyReady status to a customer’s itinerary so travelers know when they are ready to travel.

- From Southwest Airlines: Three times per day service between Syracuse and Baltimore will begin on November 14th, as well as additional service on select Saturdays between Syracuse and Orlando
- From American Airlines: Beginning September 8th, American will add twice daily service from Austin to Cincinnati as well as daily service to El Paso, Indianapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Jacksonville and Reno. Daily service will begin between Austin and both Oklahoma City and San Juan, PR on October 7th and daily service to Tulsa on November 2nd.
- From Alaska Airlines: Weekly seasonal service between San Francisco and Cancun begins on December 16th, along with two new flights from Portland to Tampa and New Orleans. On November 19th, a new route between Palm Springs, CA and Austin will debut with flights operating five times per week.
