CDC Will Now Accept At-Home COVID-19 Tests
As of January 12, 2021, the CDC has mandated that all international travelers, including U.S. citizens, entering the U.S. provide a negative COVID-19 test or proof of recovery from the virus in order to enter the country. According to a recent announcement from the CDC, at-home test kits will now be accepted for entry.
Tests must be either nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) or antigen, and must be remotely supervised in real-time by a telehealth provider.
Cruise Line Threatens to Skip Florida Ports
After enacting legislation that prevents businesses from requiring proof of vaccination in exchange for services, the State of Florida is now facing threats from Norwegian Cruise Line, to skip their ports. The Florida-based cruise line plans to require all crew members and passengers be vaccinated.
Florida provides an enormous amount of opportunity for U.S. cruises. In 2019, 60% of all U.S. cruises embarked from Florida ports, including Tampa, Miami and Key West. Moving cruise operations elsewhere could have a large impact on the state’s economy.
Airline Updates

Return of Basic Economy Change Fees
Fee waivers on Basic Economy fares have expired for most airlines, including American Airlines. JetBlue Airways is set to let theirs expire on May 31st.
