Vacation hours are accumulated each month. Non-Exempt employees must take a full week (40 hours) at a time. Employees may continue to accrue hours and carry over hours year after year.
3 years of less 80 hours (Two Weeks)
3 – 6 Years 120 hours (Three Weeks)
6 or more 160 hours (Four Weeks)
Exempt personnel automatically earn one more week (40 hours) then their tenure time up to four weeks.
Full time employees earn five days per year. Sick leave can be carried over from year to year.
Sick Leave Incentive
$100 is paid to those employees who do not take sick leave ( January – June)
$100 is paid to those employees who do not take sick leave ( July – December)
An additional $100 is paid to those employees who do not miss any sick for the entire year.
NTI (Employer) contributes annually to this Pension Plan on behalf of its employees. The amount of money contributed annually is based on profitability of the company. Our estimated value at the present time is approximately two million dollars.
401 K Plan
Employees may elect, once eligibility requirements have been met, to have a portion of their salaries withheld from their paycheck to contribute to this 401K Plan.. These contributions are pre-taxed. As an added benefit, the company will match the employee’s contribution up to 10% annually. This annual matching is contributed in December of each year.
Educational Assistance Program
National Travel pays 100% of your tuition and books, if you maintain 3.0 or B average for an under-graduate degree. School must be a State University. NTI does require that the selected degree must be in Business, Hospitality Travel or some type of program that is conducive to the travel industry.
NTI has a group health care plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield now called Highmark. During your orientation, you will be provided a booklet describing the plan and available coverage. National Travel pays a portion toward the desired coverage from the employee. There is a ninety-day waiting period imposed by the insurance company before you are eligible.

Travel discounts from the various suppliers (airlines, hotels, resorts, tour companies, and cruise lines) is available to those who work within the travel industry and the discounts are substantial. In addition to these industry discounts for Travel Agents, National Travel supplements these discounts with additional incentives and training money.
Employee Performance is reviewed monthly and is included in Manager Reports. Employees may review his/her report on a monthly basis.
National Travel’s employees are expected to wear and maintain maximum appearance standards in both dress and personal appearance. Employees are required to wear selected uniform apparel from National Travel’s Lands End Site. Details pertaining to the dress code may be found in the Policy Handbook and will be discussed during your orientation.
National Travel owns a luxury/beach front condo in Destin FL. This oceanfront condo located on beautiful Destin beach will accommodate up to 6 adults maximum. National Travel does offer the use of this condo to its personnel. See HR Department for details.
National Travel employees have the opportunity to take advantage of the exercise facilities located on L-1 of Chase Towers. This is at no cost to those employees of National Travel and is a part of our Wellness Program.
